Background of the Upazila Administration

Upazila Nirbahi Officer's Office represents the government at the field level. The Upazila Nirbahi Officer is responsible for implementing the official policies, supervising the development activities and co-ordination, dealing with law and order, facing emergency disaster, conducting public examinations, implementing social security programs, improving education, elimination of poverty and various rules and regulations.

Consists of one municipality and 12 unions. Feni Sadar Upazila of 226.29 sq km area. The district's main campus is located in this upazila. The Dhaka-Chittagong highway is passing through this upazila due to its many importantities in the economy.
